Blogging Games

Okay, my friend Karen is doing a blog "game" and I am joining in. She asked readers to post a memory of meeting her.

This is straight from her blog:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

  1. I remeber when you visited the Rocket Scientist and I when we lived in Whittier. I remember going shopping at a craft store with you. I also remeber small bits of a funny conversation you and I had. It was something about why it never worked out with you and the Rocket Scientist. Then I remember people freaking out because I was letting one of my husbands old girl friends come for a visit. They just didn't get the fact that I really liked you, no matter if you had kissed the Rocket Scientist a million years ago.

  2. Why can I never spell remember right when I'm commenting? It's so embarrassing!

  3. Karen - Just tell them the truth. If I hadn't broken it off with your future husband then he wouldn't have been out looking for someone who wouldn't break his heart (which at the time was in little tiny pieces). His next girlfriend was a nightmare and wouldn't even let him talk to me. He had to see both ends of the spectrum to figure out what he really wanted!

  4. I remember the numerous times you and I carpooled from Santa Barbara to San Diego. I would hang out at your house with your mom, stepdad and occasionally your brother. I remember walking to the IV grocery store to pick up some Ben & Jerry's ice cream. We figured the exercise we got walking to the store offset eating the calories we were going to get by eating the whole pint in one sitting. For whatever reason, those are some first that pop into my mind. :)

  5. Hi Stacy, I have only 'met' you through the blogging world, however I have heard such wonderful stories about you and your family from Uncle Walt and Aunt Nan and Aunt Pat. Maybe one day we'll meet! Sirena
